Easter Sunday - Not Just Going To Church

On April 8, 2012 people in The Fellowship will not just be going to church as usual. We will not meet at the College Chapel as usual. Since it is the day that we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, we will be going to proclaim the news that he is alive and people can have a relationship with him. This is a combined activation of the past two seminars. At 10:15 we will be gathering at Walmarts across the Triad to bless the folks who are there with the fact that the Lord Jesus is alive. Then we will gather at the college at 11:30 for a time of testimony and praise.

We will be gathering in the back of each store parking lot furtherest from the entrance.

What Will We Be Doing?

Cards were provided on Sunday to use in this activity. If you did not get a card we will have extras on Sunday morning at the different locations. Pray and ask the Lord to line you up with the person of his choice on Sunday. Ask him what area of life to pray for that person.
Example: Finances, Health, Relationships at Home, Work, etc.

Preparing The Card

INSIDE TOP OF CARD
Suggested wording
Today I am praying for you about ___________.
(Fill in the blank with what the Lord impressed you to pray about for the person)

INSIDE BOTTOM OF CARD
Copy the suggested (or your own) wording on the bottom of the card and include your name and phone number

Fold up the $5 bill and put it in the card and seal the card on the three sides with tape - we don't want the bill to fall out.

Giving the Card

After praying with members who gather in the back of the parking lot, we will drive down closer and go into the store. Inside, ask the Lord who to give the card to, an employee or better yet a fellow customer.

Hi. Today Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave. Since I started a relationship with him, he has helped me in all of my life. He will do the same for you if you develop a relationship with him. Here is a card with a gift inside for you. Have a good Easter Day.

Gathering Back At The College For Bag Lunch

We will be gathering back at the college at 11:30 to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord in a time of prayer and fellowship. If the weather is pleasant we will be sitting outside, so bring lawn chairs. If we need to, we can easily head into the classrooms to eat with each other. Bring a bag lunch and drinks with you - The Fellowship will not be providing anything except fellowship and prayer .
